No matter what January is the coldest month of the year in New York, the city has a lot of activities for tourists. The first thing you should know if you are going to travel for this date is that you should wear winter clothes and shoes, once you have prepared this you can start planning what you want to do in the city.

Since you know that it’s a very cold month, you should also know that it’s one of the cheapest seasons to travel to New York, the reason for this is that many tourists leave after the holidays, causing hotel rates to drop in price and flights.

Now that you’re ready to enjoy yourself, have fun with these plans that we know you’re going to love.

No Pants Subway Ride

Well, if you’re a risky person or want to do something you’ve never done before, this is a great plan for you. The “No Pants Subway Ride” is an event in which you will have a lot of fun, this event is almost a New York tradition that has been going on for 15 years in a row.

The idea of taking off their pants and walking by the subway was born from a group of comedians called “Improv Everywhere” who in 2002 decided to board the train of New York without trousers, they didn’t care the cold weather, they just wanted to see the reaction of the people.

The event started as a joke, but the success of the show has been so great that every year more people join in to celebrate the “No Pants Subway Ride” day. By 2018 the event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 7 at 3 pm, there will be several meeting points throughout the city and then meet at Union Square Station.

Cheer up to take the risk and take advantage to do something different in New York, the event is free and the day ends in a great party at Bar 13, where the only requirement to have a good time is to go without pants.

For almost two weeks the best restaurants in the city adjust the prices of their dishes so that anyone who wants to try something new can do so.  Each restaurant has an exquisite variety of dishes and offers a minimum of three dishes to each dinner guest.

The price for lunch is around $25 to $29 dollars and for dinner, the price per dish does not exceed 42 dollars. One important thing to keep in mind is that the rate does not include the cost of drinks, taxes, and tips, so before you order the bill, don’t forget this.

If you want to know more about the gastronomic offer of “NYC Restaurant Week” we share this link where you can check the list of restaurants that are going to participate and their menus. http://bit.ly/2BbbSK3
