Our 2-day trip to Washington DC Philadelphia and Amish country begins from Manhattan heading towards Philadelphia passing for New Jersey and Pennsylvania, on a trip that will lasts approx. 2 hours.Once in Philadelphia, we are going to explore the historic area of the City of Brotherly Love, we will visit the Liberty Bell one of the symbols of freedom in America, Constitution Square, and Congress Hall. Then we are going to walk through Elfreth’s Alley, a historic street in Philadelphia which is well-known as “Our nation’s oldest residential street.” Also, we are going to pass through the Betsy Ross House, a place where the first American flag was made.After we had visited the historical landmarks, we will continue on a panoramic tour of Philadelphia, where we will see the Financial District, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Historic Philadelphia and much more. Leaving Philadelphia, we will have the opportunity to see the famous “Rocky Steps”, afterwards, we are going to Lancaster County, home of one of the biggest Amish communities in the U.S.Our visit to the Amish county begins with a ride in a horse-drawn carriage through the Amish farm, a memorable opportunity to see their culture closely and how they live without modern technology nor appliances. After the ride we are going to an Amish Market, there you will have time to shop handmade arts, crafts, products and taste the Amish cuisine. At sunset, we will depart to Washington DC arriving at night.On the 2-day of our tour to Washington DC Philadelphia and Amish country starts in the morning visiting the Thomas Jefferson Memorial surrounded with famous Japanese cherry blossom trees (during spring). Then we will go to the Arlington National Cemetery, a place to honor the fallen heroes and visit the JFK’s grave with its flame that never dies.Our next stops in this tour to Washington DC Philadelphia and Amish country are the Capitol Hill, there we will see the US Capitol Building and the White House. Before heading to The Air and Space Museum we are going to visit the Lincoln Monument and the Reflecting Pool, the Korean War Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Martin Luther King Memorial.
Finally, after we have enjoyed the most representative landmarks of Washington DC in the late afternoon we will depart to New York City arriving at night to the Big Apple.
